  1. (1.5kW /hr / 0.25hr) x 2hr = 12kWh

  2. yeah. what everyone else said

  3. This question is a simple ratio problem.

    First convert minutes into hours or hours into minutes. Converting minutes to hours lets us work with smaller numbers.

    15 minutes = 1/4 hour = 0.25 hour

    Set up a ratio:

    1.5 / 0.25 = x / 2

    Cross multiply:

    0.25 * x = 1.5 * 2

    x = 1.5 * 2 / 0.25

    x = 12

    Therefore, the microwave oven uses 1.5 kW hr in 2 hours.

  4. You divide 15 into the 2 hours then you multiply that number by the 1.5KW and that will be your answer.

  5. What is "1.5 KWand Hour"

    if you mean 1.5 kW/hr, that is meaningless.

    I'll assume you mean 1.5 kW-hr.

    if it uses 1.5 kW-hr in 15 min, then it uses 8 times as much in 2 hours, or 12 kW-hrs.

    By the way, that means the microwave is rated at 6 kW.

  6. There is no such thing as kilowatts per hour.

    It's like saying (of a car) mph per week.
