I need help with Royalty for my school!!!?

I am in charge of my schools Royalty. The girl who did it last year left me nothing, and we have a new teacher. I'm unsure what all I need to do. Royalty is a big thing in my school so I don't want to mess it up. Any thoughts?

what kind of royalty does your school have like prom king and queen or is it something like student govt?
