  1. Yeah well the poster above listed the two worst sites to go to when buying a vintage car. Though ebay really isn't that bad. But the serious buyers/sellers either use hemmings.com or collectorcartrader.com. Craigslist is a horrible place to buy an old car, unless you are looking for a rust bucket. Hope this helps.

  2. I'd recommend two sites. If you want to buy the car online, try eBay Motors at www.motors.ebay.com

If you don't want to buy stuff online or just want to buy it locally, try Craigslist at www.craigslist.org. Once you get there, the first page asks you to select what area you live in. Select your area and continue (you will be directed to the main page for your area.) There is a small search box on the left hand side of the main page. Type "challenger" or any similar query into the search box. It will give you a list of all items for sale with "challenger" in their description/name. If you want to narrow the search, try going to the dropdown box around the top of the screen which says "all for sale/wanted" and changing it to "cars & trucks - all". Typing "1970 Challenger" or "Dodge Challenger" may actually reduce your results, as many people will just post ads called "challenger for sale" or something similar.

If you are unable to find what you want, there is a link in the top right corner (if you are on a search results page) to post a listing. Place your listing under "items wanted", put in your email (Craigslist anonymizes it, so you don't have to worry about spam) and you should get emails within the next few days from sellers. Once you get a deal, you can arrange something with a seller to buy a car.

Be warned, Challengers aren't cheap. The lowest I've seen was for $2000, and that was for just a rusty shell (chassis + sheetmetal) with absoutely nothing in it. Unless you're willing to fork over big bucks, it would be better to stay with another Dodge car, like a Charger.
