My brother has a PSP and he went out and bought a usb cable to hook up to it and then to his PSP and we thought that should give it internet but its not :(. So if it is possible for the PSP to receive internet from a usb cable hooked up to the computer can you tell me how? Or do the PSP only get internet from wireless routers?

  1. The PSP only connects to the internet via WLAN, which means that it only connects to the internet wirelessly. The easiest way to do this is to buy an inexpensive router, or go to a hotspot.

The USB connection is purely only for moving data (music, pictures, videos, save files, et cetera) to and from the Memory Card (If you're using the Sony Firmware), and flashing the Firmware (If you plan on hacking your PSP).

  2. you get it through wifi. if you got dsl and a router box you just go to internet in the psp menu to get internet. you don't use a usb
