I need help with a biology experiment I did on osmosis?

Question

We used a plastic bag to demonstrate a semi-permeable membrane and added solution with sucrose and %60 water. another plastic bag was used with a solution of %60 percent sucrose and water. Each bag was weighed and the weight increased over a period of time with the %60 sucrose and water. The weight decreased with the %60 water and sucrose solution. Can someone explain why this happens?
