  1. try small miniature marsh mellows first. You may need to go to natural bait Night crawlers, wax worms, gob these on your hook.

go to http://www.in-fisherman.com for great fishing information for all spieces.Try their DVD`s series and video`s

  2. Try snagging it.

    Ouch, 3 thumbs downs.

Well, try bow and arrow with line attached.  This is known as archery or bow fishing, and as long as it's fairly close to shore, and you adjust for water defraction, you should be able to get it.

  3. If it is a grass carp try a cherry tomato

  4. Most people will tell you try corn - I'd say find a dead crayfish and throw it in his path...if he smells it - it's game over!!

  5. i would ground bait over a few days to get it used to your bait. dont make the hookbait any different in size to this 'cause it will stand out. if all else fails try dog biscuits or bread on the top. tight lines

  6. When it is hot out and the sun is shining, they will bask at the surface of the water. If you want them dead, you can shoot them with a bow and arrow (bow-fishing) at that time. I catch carp on regular bread. You can also try canned corn or maggots.I can never catch carp on flavored dough balls. Carp acctually clean up your pond, they eat the vegitation. They will leave you with a clean pond. But if they are eating all of the vegitation it is a smart idea to take them out. I hope this helps.

  7. 40 caliber S&W!  Just joking, all the answers above are good ones. Not sure why somebody is giving them a thumbs down.

  8. I have been told that canned corn works GREAT for carp. If you drain a can of whole kernal corn and put it in a sandwich bag, put a few tablespoons of vanilla extract in there and shake it up, this is supposed to work well for carp. Maybe even put a few mini marshmellows in the bag with the corn and get those coated too. Put a few peices of corn and a marshmellow on a hook and you should be able to catch them. That way if one scent does attract them, the other will.

If this does not work, carp will bite on the same things that catfish will, so try some catfish dip bait with a dip worm. I have been using that with the cats lately and they will bite it almost as soon as it hits the bottom.

Another alternative would just be live bait like small worms (or peices of nightcrawler) or minnows (cut bait would probably do good as well). When they won't touch anything else, fish will usually grab live bait.

Also, if you find that your bait is just getting nibbled off or stolen all of the time, try a slightly smaller hook. If they can't get in in their mouth, they can't get hooked. Usually a medium sized hook is good enough to catch most fish.

I hope this helps. Good luck.
