I need help with a character?

Question

So, this is a little weird, but I'm trying to come up with a character for a story. I'm not worried about names or personality yet, I just need help coming up with a DESIGN for one. Can anyone list any neat accessories or color combos (for clothing) that look good together? It can be for either male or female. Right now, I'm just trying to get the main character figured out. I'm good at plots, horrible at characters.

Haha, well I'm good a characters, just not plots.

Anyway, I'm not quite sure what you're asking. Colors? I'll post a link, I guess.

But when I'm coming up with characters I just like to go watch people and make up stories for their lives. Why are they there? What are they doing? What are they thinking? And read a lot. You get inspired by other characters and mush the traits you like from several different ones. Then before you know it, you've got a character.

I really like the link below, because it basically touches on anything that makes up a character. Appearance, past, name, personality. It's really helpful for development.

Use the color wheel as far as clothing goes (sources).

Coming up with characters, I would say grab some friends, snacks and paper and brainstorm for awhile. You can come up with a name, or a single personality trait or physical trait that you really, really want and kind of design the character around that trait.

Ooooor....google image random things. Like red hair, or sky god, or purples eyes or whatever until you find a picture (of a person) that really jumps at you, and make up whatever you feel like you need to.

I can't really help with making up a character, because then I wouldn't want to give him to you XD But for accessories and stuff, (google image again) search on Harajuku. It's a shopping district for teenagers in Tokyo, and the fashion is...eccentric. Really out of this world stuff.
