  1. What the other person said about dairy being healthy for you is not true.

You need to get your hands on the book "Skinny *****" by Rory Freedman and Kim Barnouin.  (not "Skinny ***** in the Kitch", that one is just a cookbook.)

    1. Read the book. It will inspire you and give you the best tips!

    2. Give up smoking, alcohol, and Soda pop.. Even diet soda.  Aspartame in diet pop turns to formaldehyde as it enters your body, which is cancer causing and very baad for you.

    3. Drink at least 6-8 glasses of water/ day.  90% of the tiem when you think you're hungry, you're actually just thirsty.  Try it. Water fills you up so you eat less and don't snack as often.

    4. Exercise. it burns fat and calories, defines muscles, (the more muscle mass you have, the faster your metabolism will be, and the easier it will be to lose weight and keep it off!)  Plus exercising releases chemicals in our brain that make us feel good.. and you won't tend to eat as much out of boredom or depression.

    5. Whole grain carms, like brown rice and whole wheat are good in moderation.. about 2 servings a day. 3 if you're exercising.  But white breads, white pasta, white rice = empty carbs. What's the point of eating something of there is no nutritional value? White carbs just make you fat. Give them up.

    6. Fruit and Veggies are GOOD!  Stick to 4-5 servings of fruits, but you can never overdose on veggies.  Most veggies contain lots of fiber which helps you feel full, and they're the most nutritions for you, and most are also negative calorie foods..meaning you burn more calories munching on them then you get from them. Nutrition, a full feeling, yummyness, and virtually no calories = win!  Careful about creamy dressings though, theyr'e loaded with calories.  Try hummus or some non creamy veggie dip. I know hummus sounds nasty, but it's really just made of chick peas and garlic ... and it's amazingly good, and healthy for you too.

    7. Sugar is the devil. It's got no nutritional value and has a lot of useless calories and fats.  It causes an imbalance in the brain making you want to eat more, even if you're full.  Sugar, next to fast food, is one of the reasons why there are so many overweight people in our society. Try healthier alternatives, such as agave nectar or honey to sweeten things.  Fruit is awesome to satisfy a sugar craving, because it's all natural sugars, not processed sugar.  Processed white sugar is to blame for health problems, not natural sugar.

    8. Give up meat and dairy. In other words, go vegan. If you're really really serious about getting healthy.. I'm talking not just losing weight.. but overall total body health that will probably extend your life another 10 years and make you feel and look younger.. this is the way to go. I know it's durastic, but it's an honest suggestion.  I went vegan for not only health reasons but animal welfare, human welfare, and environmental reasons (if you're really curious about going vegan, a good book to look into is The Food Revolution by John Robbins, as well as Skinny ***** has a chapter on it.). I don't know anyone who's gone vegan and not lost weight, unless they were already skinny, or unless they're eating lots of sugar and white carbs.

    9. Dairy products ARE fattening, and disease causing. There are so many other ways to get calcium.  If you simply cannot give up milk, at least give up ice cream, whip cream, creamy sauces, cheeses, and cream cheese. they are incredibly fattening.

anyway... I know that's a lot to remember.. but read the book.. it will inspire you and teach you how to eat right.. if you follow it, I can guarantee you that you WILL lose weight and be healthier than you've ever been.  It's up to you whether you will take the time to eat right and exercise and not give up ! If you have a bad day and you eat junk all day, don't give up!!  Take it as a learning experience. Identify why you caved and ate the bad food. Think about what you can do better the next day.. take it day by day...

    good luck.

  2. have breakfast within and hour of u waking up... after that eat every three hours... small portions...like an apple, energy bar... stuff like that... and eat alot of greens and fruits... they r harmless... and then the essential: DRINK WATER.... alot of water.... walk around with a bottle and drink... every time it goes empty u refill it a drink more... and well walk 30 minutes a day.... you'll be loosing weight in no time... and u keep this up... you'll actually stay fit

  3. Well you want to eat healthy foods such as grains, vegetables, and fruit. focus on those. stick to the food guide pyramid. It works. If  you are trying to lose weight eat a little less meat and a lot less fats. try to stick to milk products as well because milk helps your bones. dairy is very healthy for you. Don't eat too much of anything though. Try to eat about 2000 calories a day. that is the recommended amount in a day. But don't go under that because it can cause your body harm. eat about 3-5 serving of fruits a day and 4-6 servings of vegetables. eat 5-6 servings of grain, 1-3 servings of meat, and try to have 2-4 servings of dairy. That will help with your eating.

With exercise, try to run every other day. I would say run about 1-2 miles on a treadmill or go out and run on the road and estimate about 1-2 miles. do some push ups sit ups and weight lifting. lower and upper body weights. but mainly eat healthy, and exercise. It doesn't really matter what kind of exercise you do but I suggest running, push ups and sit ups/crunches.
