I've had this dream where I'm downtown in a dorm I used to live in. I walked into this room and my ex was in there. My ex looked the same as if we were seeing each other in waking life. We talked and playfully teased each other and I sat on his lap. When I got off his lap I walked around my old room, and I went to the window. I saw a park where people were walking around and it seemed to me that there were workers preparing for the 4th of July. Decorations were up and it was funny because some sections of the grass were colored red, white and blue.

When I walked away from the window, I jumped on my bed where my ex was, and he told me that he has jury duty on July 9th. After my ex told me that he has jury duty I turned on my television and we watched t.v. When I woke up, I went to the calendar to check the date of this "supposed jury duty date" and it's on a Wednesday. I never had a dream like this. Can anyone offer input into what this was about? I would really appreciate it.

  1. Wow, I've never heard of anything like this.

Okay, so it's a dream about your ex.  He could be representing himself or he might be like an actor in your dream, representing some part of you.

If he's is himself, then this dream could be about something you recognize about him.

If he's representing a part of you, it could be a part that you are dying to get rid of, but can't, or a part of you that you wish you could reclaim-- depending on how you feel about the guy.

The common thread or theme running through this dream is civic duty.  The fourth of July is, as you know, a civic, patriotic sort of day-- and not shirking something like Jury duty could be seen as a patriotic sort of thing as well.

It sounds like you're processing ideas in a non-chalant sort of way.

When I was on Jury duty, it was over a two week period that I was on call, and it started on a Monday.  Always a Monday-- and you get called up weeks in advance. So I'm not sure how relevant the date is.

So that's my input and I'm stickin' to it! Lemme know if you want/need more help!

    Blessings!
