Hi everyone. My friend is depressed. She is in her late teens and was having an affair with an engaged guy. He told her he was going to call off his marriage and they were going to be exclusive with each other. Well, he recently got married and she is now so heart broken, that it is affecting her day to day life. She keeps saying that no one will ever measure up to how sweet he was to her and that her friend and the only thing anyone can do to help her is to bring him back to her. She can't go to work without thinking about him (he used to work there), she can't even hang out with her best friends without thinking about him and crying. She says she really loved him and is truly heart-broken at the fact that he didn't choose her. Any ideas on how I can help?

  1. I think the best thing you can do is just be there for her and don't try to tell her that she will get over it soon.  Or that she is better off without him.  Because it's apparent that she doesn't think so.  Love CAN be blind and sometimes we have to let our friends have their blindness and recover on their own while we stand by them and hold them tight and let them know that we are there for them.  And just love her until she is better.  Good luck.

  2. tell her you still love her!

tell her your here to talk when she need to

brng her out to do things that she enjoys,,,give her time

if she gets really bad encorage her to go see the gp.... to talk to
