I need help with a logo concept?

I am working with the name "Counties United" I'm having trouble coming up with a creative idea for a logo. I'm not too picky I'm just needing some help if anybody can shed some new light on this for me.

The name seems pretty generic, so maybe unify it with a stark image. Maybe holding hands imagery would work or layered city silhouettes ... The lettering doesn't 'sound' effectual in any way so probably keep a modern look to that as well...

I always start by looking at the words specifically, look at the literal definitions and then move into implied meanings. A sense of ambiguity will give your logo an edge, just make sure that there is some clarity in it or else it will confuse the audience.
