I need help with a party?

ok so me and my friends are planing to have a luau but i dontno what decorations and food/non acoholic drinks to include please please help

Hawaiian food, cool!  Have lots of fresh fruit available, make a watermelon into a fruit salad bowl (cut the watermelon in half, use a melon baller to scoop out the watermelon and then put the watermelon balls and other fruit back into the watermelon), have some apples, whole pineapple, oranges and whatever as edible decorations on the table too.  You can buy plastic flower necklaces (the name escapes me right now...) and paper umbrellas for drinks at party stores.  Check out www.kraftfoods.com/kf for food and drink ideas (type in Hawaiian food).  I one time made island cupcakes by sticking thick pretzel sticks into them (one stick per cake) and attaching paper palm leaves that I cut out of construction paper with frosting to the top of the pretzels.  Have beach themed decorations--beach towels, balls, shells, etc...--or just stick with paper flower strings and more luau-like stuff.  You could just make a nonalcoholic punch with fruit juices, ginger ale and scoops of sherbet floating in it.  Have fun!

If you live anywhere near a Dollar Tree dollar store, go there first.  They have lots of tiki themed stuff, like tiki-god plastic glasses, grass skirts, strings of lanterns, etc.

I just went shopping last night with a friend of mine. Her wedding shower is Tiki themed. Party City is having a sale of "summer themed" table top items (plates, cups, nakins, etc.) and they're all very Hawaiian looking. Plastic leis are also on sale for .25! We're going to have leis for everyone to wear, a tiki bar & smoothie station, we bouch grass skirts (also on sale for $5.00).

obviously flowers like hibiscus and other island theme flowers...you can probably buy plastic ones...but them on sting and hang them around the place

as someone said pina coladas minus the alcohol...so pineapple juice and coconut cream/milk and whizz it up in the blender

you can also do a punch or something

if you can buy a bunch of coconuts and use them as cups

have a BBQ with meat and veges on skewers

and plenty of tropical fruit with your dessert stuff

i don't know much about island food but there would be plenty of websites with great recipes
