I need help with a photosynthesis question?

I am doing an experiment and was wondering : I have some small pieces of leaves cut out into circles and I put them in a jar with water and a bit of carbon dioxide and was wondering how do i make them rise to the top? I need an answer before lunch. Any help would be great and remember it has to include water carbon dioxide and either light or dark. Any help will do. Thanks

you could pin a bean bag bean to the leaf. As long as you do it to all of them the methodology should still be valid.
