I need help with a poem?

Question

its for a friend we've been friends for 3 yrs but every year we've gotten closer and closer. I wanna give her something for her b-day and when we met. But I need a poem that is kinda emotional she has always been there for me..even when we were enemies. any ideas?

To My Best Friend?

This is for the greatest person

that I have ever known.

Being away from you for so long

I am feeling so alone.

With you I am so happy

you keep my heart content.

But I had to be a volunteer -

so off to England I went.

That is where I found my heart

and how I feel for you.

I try so hard to deny this feeling

and I don't know what to do.

I said that I would never again

let someone take my heart.

And here I'm sitting wanting you

and hate that we're apart.

Everyday you are in my thoughts,

every night you're in my dreams.

I can't believe what's happening,

is this really what it seems?

I know you're only wanting

to be the best of friends,

but I am asking you sincerely

if it's your rule you'll bend.

To take a chance to know me

to let me share it all.

And maybe one day very soon

for me one day you'll fall.

Our friendship we now have

is something that I'd miss

but maybe once we let go

we will find eternal bliss.

True Friendship

The hands of fate have twisted again

Altered the love I was to send

She saw me with a different eye

She waved as she left a tearful goodbye

My feelings for her will go forever unseen

To be hidden away like a forgotten dream

She'll never know as I cloud my eyes

I vow forever to keep this disguise

I can never open my heart she can never see

Exactly what she means to me

I smile and wave as rain falls from above

Now I know the meaning of unconditional love

Your so beautiful in my eyes and nice as a spring day. Though we had hard times you keep me in love with your faith. Giving me a reason to love you more. So other reasons and things I can't explain to you other then stay friends with me and happy birthday. You are a conflict to these words and the perfect bird in a beauty flock. We are like a heard of cats hanging out and scratching each others back everytime you stick with me, so really this is somthing from me to you. Happy birthday. I love you with all my heart and friendship forever dude.

well what can you relate your friendship to? something that grows and gets bigger like a flower? once you get your first few lines down it'll get easier to write.  Just sit down some time and think of wat your friend means to you. it may pop into your head sometime. before i was i the car at night i thought of a really good poem so i didn't have my cell phone so i had to use my friend's and text it to my cell....so good luck writing it and i'm sure it'll be great!=)

no one on here knows your friend as well as you do. Just let the poem come from your heart. : ) Then no matter what it sounds like...you're friend will still love it because it came from you.
