I need help with a straightener??

well for starters i have super curly thick hair and it is wayy frizzy if i straighten it! so i need help choosing a straightener i mean i heard that the best straightener in the world is the ghd.. can anybody back that up. or is ther another becuase i need one that will help put a shine in my hair and straight as i imagine. please helpp

i love my CHI.. i have long curly hair and this seems to be the only straightener that works.. I like to use the original one i think its easier to use....

I have a CHI and it is awesome.  I got the TURBO Chi which is wider than the original CHI.  It's great for my hair which is really thick and past my shoulders.  

The CHI leaves my hair silky, which no other straightener I've ever tried has done.  It's worth the price.

I've heard lots of GREAT things about the ghd, although I haven't tried it, it sounds great although it is a little pricey.  I am considering getting a CHI because my hair dresser uses that and it works AMAZING! plus it is cheaper.

i've had my CHI for 4 or 5 years and it's still good as new. my hair is long (to my waist) thick, and wavy. got mine for $110. LOVE IT. and i just have the normal 1 inch one and it works just fine.
