I need help with an internet/laptop issue.

I just got a new laptop but i already have the internet (broadband) on my home computer. I want so know if there is some connection cord or anything that i can use to connect my laptop to my home computers internet so that i'm still paying the same amount of money.

why spend money on a laptop when you can get it for free? just go to this site and complete a few quick tasks and they'll send you a sony vaio laptop at no charge!

Your best bet is to buy a router and hook up your internet through that.  If you get a wireless router, you'll be able to use your new laptop from anywhere in your house.  Technical information depends on what router you get and other things you may plan to do with it.  Hopefully this helps.

if you have broadband, chances are that you have a router. If so, plug in an ethernet cable to the laptop.

Alternately, you could just get a wireless router and connect from there.

Unless you have PPPoE internet settings. To find out, call your internet service provider and run the question by them.
