I need help with an mp3 hook up to my car stereo?

I have an Acura CL 3.0 1998 equipped with a bose system that has a CD player but no tape deck. i was using an FM transmitter but they are such bad quality compared to a direct connection. Any idea on how i can directly hook up an mp3 player (standard headphone jack) to my system without replacing the head unit?

what you need is a wired fm modulator.  this is different than a fm transmitter.  what it does is hook up inline with your cars antenna and directly wires your mp3 player to your radio.  all it does is input the signal onto one radio station usually a low one like 88.5.  this way instead of broadcasting a signal like your doing now, instead it is hardlined into the radio. this is how most aftermarket cd changers work. this is how i have mine hooked up.
