I need help with an old samsung tv (93)?

I bought my kids an old samsung tv from a garagesale..It didnt come with a remote so I bought one and now I cant get the channels to work past 13...I tried to search the site but I dont think they support it anymore...anyways my question is

How do I get the cable menu to come up? I dont even know how to tell if its cable ready:-s

Your TV probably has a auto program function which will give you more channels. To tell if it is cable ready, you just need to see if there a plug for a cable line.
