I need help with bird diaper

Question

I love the birdy diaper. (so please do answer if all you are going to say how bad they are or how you don't like think. I don't really care if you don't like them. I do)

So, i'v been trying to get my birds (2 cockatiel) to get used to the diaper, but they just keep on grooming themselves in it and chewing the diaper. Please help

You could identify a substance you could smear on the diaper that the cockatiel doesn't like yet doesn't hurt him, that may make it more worth it to it to not pick at it's diaper.

The birds have to become accustomed to them.. It takes time to train them to the diaper / suit. I love them also but that does not mean your bird will.. Sometimes a spray bottle of water and mist the bird when he is chewing it to distract him / her.

Otherwise use it for short periods , often until it / they get used to it

your birds are lacking a certain vitamin, i suggest you buy a pink stone which hangs on the cage they eat this and it will help its called a mineral block as for floor cleaning use pet sand its easier to maintain bird hygiene etc. they have to groom themselves to keep clean.

there may be stuff on the diaper that is annoying the birds so check the diaper, or maybe the diaper is on wrongly?
