Question:

I need help with birds!?

Today I found another dead bird in my back yard. They die from crashing against my windows, breaking either their neck, wings and/or beak. If they survive, I have to take them to the vet, who'll put them down anyway.

I feel so bad for the birds and I need a fast and easy do-it-yourself solution that won't look too bad.

Please help!

  1. kindly do one thing hang some bright ribbons on windows so that they can be removed when you need, this can help

put some light out side at night time because birds   can not see the glass but can see light source inside the house and can try to come in.

this is happening at my labs also where we have glass doors

  2. From a hardware store, you can by a semi-reflective film (a bit like plastic food wrap) that you stick to your windows.  It reflects part of the light back again like a partial mirror, so that birds can see themselves in it.  They will not fly into it; but may peck at the window, thinking that they are seeing another bird invading their territory.  This is not the main purpose of the film however; its main use is to cut down glare, stop the inside of the room geting too hot in summer, and making it difficult for intruders to see in the window during the daytime.

  3. Here is a site with some good advice that should work for any bird species:

  4. put something at your window a sticker

    or put a sponge

  5. Try hanging a CD from a string in front of the window.  As the wind moves it, the reflections can drive the birds away.
