  1. Yeah,Probably that happend to my friend when he got his braces

  2. This is normal. Try brushing them a little softer. This will happen for the first few brushes after getting them put on and getting the tightened. It will get better though. When it happens just think of the straight lovely teeth you will have and it won't bother you so much.

  3. it is normal to hurt. u may be brushing to hard.

  4. yea.  they usually hurt for up to 2 weeks.  but the bleeding is bc ur gums are really tender.

  5. ya, theres lots of pain with braces. Get used to it. as far as the gums bleeding, mine didn't do that. Just call your orthodontist :). that is what I always do whenever there is a problem

  6. It's perfectly normal. It will take sometime for your teeth to adjust!

  7. yerrr, take some painkillers and should help a bit.

itll hurt when you get them tightened. everyones different, mine werent that bad so youll just have to see.

my gums bled pretty much all the way through having my braces.

  8. yea dats really normal mine hurt for while after..after while youl get used to them and itl be fine

  9. That's completely normal.

It usually hurts for a day or two after you get them.

Then, after you go and get them tightened or the rubber bands changed they'll hurt for another two days don't worry though that' just them working. =]

They really suck but they're more than worth it in the end!

  10. Unfortunately, yes. Braces are pretty traumatic for your teeth, but the end result is totally worth it. Try taking ibuprofen. It is an anti-inflammatory so it will help reduce the swelling and bleeding. Also, the metal they use in braces becomes more malleable when cold, so ice cream or ice water will help ease some of the pain. You can also stick some wax on any sharp edges or pieces that are irritating you. Good luck!

  11. Yes, normal and will go away over time. The first 2 weeks are the most painful. Your teeth shift, they are sore, and the wires will poke in the back. Wax helps a little but dont be afraid to want to go to the Ortho to get them trimmed if it hurts too bad.

    Hang in there...

  12. i'm afraid it is....... your orthodontist will tighten them every appointment....... and your teeth will always be sore afterward....... brush your gums good........ they'll quit bleeding after a while....... don't forget to floss............

  13. It never happened to me when I had braces. It did hurt, but there was no bleeding. It's probably normal, but should call your dentist to make sure.

Braces are a real pain in the a**, but don't worry it'll be worth it when they're off.

  14. luckily its the summer so u wont have to see people without properly cleaned teeth but yea it is normal. if ur not using them already get some pain killers. The pain form cleaning your teeth goes away after a few days but the complete pain stayed with me for over a fortnight

  15. If you JUST got them put on in the last little bit, yeah that's fairly normal...

If you just had the wires changed and whatnot, yes your teeth will be MEGA sore for a few days.

If the bleeding continues or get worse, make an appt to see the orthodontist.

  16. unfortunately, yes.

your gums are bleeding because your teeth are shifting -- i had braces for 5 years, and a bunch of orthodontic stuff before that. they're going to hurt, and yes, your mouth will bleed sometimes, especialyl after you get your braces tightened. it's uncomfortable, and it hurts, but it's definitely worth it! :]] good luck!

  17. yeah i broke mine the first day  avoid hard food dont even try to eat a breadroll trust me

  18. Yes it is normal for it to hurt. As far as the bleeding, youmight be brushing too hard. Trust me, it'll allbe worth it in the end. You'll have a beautiful smile.

  19. Yes.You should have got the removable braces. You cant see them and they are made of special plastic and you can remove them whenever you have to.

  20. yeah,

    dont brush hard

  21. Yes.  Welcome to the pain of having braces.  You will experience this every month when you have to have your wire and bands changed.

  22. Yeah.

    I have braces.  They suck.

  23. yes it is totally normal!!

I had braces too and i wasent a big fan of them at all...haha

the reason they hurt and bleed iis because your mouth isnt used to having big metal things in your mouth all the time and your gums get irritated....in maybe 1 week u wont even feel them...hope this helped!!

    GOOD LUCK!!

  24. yea that is normal. They hurt like the first 2 weeks and then after like a year you barely notice you have them because you get so use to them. I've had my braces on for 4 years and hopefully getting them off on monday! well good luck!
