I'm going to be doing some face painting at a children's party and need some fairly SIMPLE design ideas. There will be girls and boys ages 6 and 7. I can think of butterflies and rainbows but what for the boys? I'd like to have at least 5 choices that would appeal to each. Thanks!!

  1. IDEAS

    Stars

    Hearts

    Balloons

    Butterflies

    Flowers

    Flag

    Ladybug

    Pirate

    Witch

    Skeleton

    Clown

    Fairy

Spider-man, Batman, and other popular superheroes or cartoon characters

Simple messages such as “Happy Birthday!” or the name of the child’s school

  2. On familyfun.com there is a  carnival birthday party theme and in it, it shows samples of various face painting ideas. Hope this helps you!

  3. ninja turtle (paint face green with eye mask the colour they want)

Spiderman (get a pic of spiderman)

Harry potter (round glasses zigzag scar

  4. Batman and ninja turtles are easy

You'd be surprised how many of them just want balloons or their name

I used to do this all the time at church fairs

A lot of times they'll ask for something that sounds complicated, like a horse...."How am I gonna do a horse?" you think....well, you don't--you just fake your way through a horse's head and as long as it remotely resembles what looks like a horse's head, they're fine

Ninja turtle, same thing:  just the head;  batman, just the symbol

If you use poster paint, you and have plenty of Q-tips you can stop and restart as much as you want; and you'll be amazed at how patient and still they are (especially for that age!)  Just pretend like you know exactly what you're doing and they'll be fine, really!   Good luck!!  (It really is a lot of fun)  =)

  5. spiderman face, batman symbol, chain, sword, snake, bugs, camouflage face, bird

  6. for boys you could do

    spiders

    catapillars

    bat wings

    baseball

football ( or any sports ball)

    hockey stick and puck

    lightning bolt

    for girls:

    balloons

hearts (maybe little ones connected together)

    flag

    monkey (think Bobby Jack)

that's all I could think on for girls, however my dd had a braclet painted on her wrist.  It was really cute and easy to do.

    Have fun.

Try drawing them on paper first and keep it simple, the kids will love it.
