We are remodelling our kitchen, we will have royal mahogany color on floors, brazillian cherry cabinets ( i know... 2 dark colors already) and we will have Giallo Venzino granite countertop (lighter brownish) color. What i want to ask is what wall color would compliment these three without making ny kitchen too dark. The colors I have in my family room is orangy ( Arizona Sunset ) which is just right next to my kitchen and my dining room which is colored like deep Terracota.

Thanks so much.

  1. A green or a blue might be really good, depends on your back splash. You don't wanna find such a light color. I would suggest like a light Olive Green or an Ocean Blue.

Really popular themes for kitchens these days is the Green and Light Brown, its a nature organic look that you might like. There are so many fun things you can do with that.

    I hope i helped a little!

  2. I have a zipped folder with about 90 photos, you can get some ideas there ;-)

  3. How about a deep yellow, would brighten things up and coordinate with the oranges.

    Just a thought.

  4. What about a tan, khaki color to go with everything and yet not be too dark.  If you went with a lighter cream color, that would be too light and might appear to be stark with your darker rich colors.

  5. I would look at some yellows and or golds.  Yellow compliments darker colors and I'm sure there are shades which would also compliment your Arizona Sunset.

  6. umm im thinking light tan or light blue
