I need help with decorating my teenage room!!!!?

Question

I am 14, going into high school. I am not good in decorating and need some ideas. My room is very small, but with lots of windows( 3 big ones). I have a few posters and a mirror on the wall. The walls are plain white and all of the furniture is wodden. the floor is wooden too. The door, however is white. my bed is in the other room, but i will put it in my room now. the lamp is white too, it is the fan kind.

what i wanted to do is paint all of the walls or maybe one of the walls in a different color. i want to get curtains and also get bed sheets of a different color. i also want to get some cute pillows and a small carpet infront of the bed. if u think i should add anything else, please tell me

the problem is that i dont know what color to do my room in. I was thinking purple, but if u have any ideas, please tell me. I thought that the curtins can be purple with designs; carpet on stripes and i have no idea about the walls. I want to make the room look cool!!!! teenage

pleeeeaaase give any ideas or if u think the one i had was bad, tell me. if u have ideas about posters, colors, decorating ideas. i can spend some money on it, but if u have cheap ideas, please tell me

The ones that "Mother Knows Best" put are AWESOME.

Maybe instead of painting the whole thing you could just stencil something in.

My room is kind of like the third one "Mother knows best" put in.

But actually I like that color green so I might paint my room that color.

My room is more like classic Marilyn Monroe,The Beatles,Elvis.

Now ! before you pain find yourself a nice bedding set and then you work with that , don't put too many posters on the walls it will look to crowded a couple should be enough get yourself a long mirror that you can hang on the wall or by the door this will create the feel of  more space, keep the windows treated in light sheers and a venetian blinds to give some privacy and darkness in the room for those weekends off. If there is something else that you need to know add to your question I will look at it later ,

you don't need to have a huge  room to accomplish your decor ,but the ideas and the colours to put it together are the most important, you just need to adjust to the size of the room that's all all the rest stays the same .
