I have to say the next number in the pattern and describe it.

0,1,4,9 Next Number= 16 how do i describe that pattern?

3,0,-3,0,3,0 Next number=-3 describe that?

1 11 121 1331 next number?

7 9 13 19 27 next number= 37 describe please?

the first one,

y=x^2  (1^2 = 1  2^2=4 3^2 = 9...), take the previous number, square root it, add one to that answer then square that number

the second one,

not quite sure how to describe in a algebraic way... subtract 3 for two times then add three for two times, and so forth...

third,

14641   (multiply by 11)

Fourth,

add 2, add 4, add 6 ... i.e. increase the amount added by two each time

This is probably not the language that they are looking for but I definitely see the patterns.

1) +1, +3,+5,+7,   add odd numbers

2) Add 3 twice then subtract 3 twice and repeat.

3) multiply by 11.

4) +2, +4, +6, +8, add even numbers

0=0^2

1=1^2

4=2^2

9=3^2

16=4^2

the 3rd one:

1.11=11

11.11=121

121.11=1331

the last one:

7+2=9

9+4=13

13+6=19

19+8=27

27+10=37

all the second numbers are consecutive even numbers.
