I need help with going to school?

Question

ok im from australia and with our rules we are alowed to leave school once we turn 16 or we can choose to go further on and get the school certificate in year 12...

so im in year 10. i have the choice to stay for two more years or leave now, and to be honest, i dont want to go any further.

i hate school.

see the problem is...

i want to go all the way for my future but right now i just want to quit and be able to live my own life..

im so confused and i dot know what im doing anymore.. school is making my life seem like h**l but if i dont go i know im gunna end up living in a box when im older

please help mee =[

see right now its 9.10AM and i actally walked home from school just an hour ago so i didnt have togo. this is getting pretty serious for me and i need t fixed..

Well, I see that you are in High school, still, I think, yea, but you are supposed to be there and go to school. It's part of life, you know, education.

i say finish up the two years. i mean you did 10 already two can't be that bad. and with only two more years you say you can get a h**l of a better job and such. so two years won't kill you.

If you don't want to go to school right now then don't, you could take a break like for a year or so and then you could come back to school and continue with your future.

i'd say you have ambitions and you know what the "right" thing to do is - i think you should just tough out two more years and then decide what you want to do, it will give you so much more flexibility in the future and by then you will probably thank yourself for making that mature of a decision right now

I would definetly stay two years for a lifetime of bettr wages. Trust me I dropped out and went to twice as many schools to get where i am today and im still below the average in wages

and have a great education and then go onto college and make a far amount of money so you can have a pretty decent life

or

LEAVE SCHOOL :)

and have a nice little break from school responsibilities. But soon have to deal with real world problems and hassles that last forever

i would stick it out if i were you -- more school leads to more opportunities. you want more opportunities -- right?  

i would ask myself some hard questions if you really want to quit -- what kind of job can you get now and what kind of job do you want in the future?  a lot of places you can start work and they will educate you further as they see fit -- and then you can get promoted, etc.  if you want a job like that then its best to have enough starting education to get a foot in the door.  

if your life ambition is to be a waiter or something that doesn't require a lot of education  then by all means quit now -- you don't need any  more schooling.

I totally understand your situation. This world does not care what happens to uneducated people. Thats a fact! Stay in school and get it done! One day you will pat yourself on the back. Please stay in school.

I think you are bored!

Do what my daughter did, she got her GED and went to a trade school and loved it. When she was in high school (also grade 10) she always thought she was wasting her time. So she got into a trade and went to work.

I don't think quiting and doing nothing is the answer. A person rarely goes back to school... or can get so wrapped up in life and its struggles, that they can never get a head.

This is the only time in your life where you have your youth, parents to support you and the energy to do something that will benefit your future...without a lot of sacrafices.  

So instead of looking at this as dragging school out for 2 more years. Think of a trade-school/apprentice program you can transfer to and reach out for a career.

Don't quit, do nothing and become a bum.

well since you want to consider going further with your life, goingon to the 12th year would be best. so if you dont like schoolhave you considered switching schools? or maybe even homeschooling. take a look at other schools around you and see if youll be able to switch, you may be presently suprised. hope i could help :].

If you take time off you wont go back. i know it, you know it, everyone else on yahoo answers knows it. this sounds g*y but... your mind controls you. if you set your mind to liking school, you will. try it. think of all the things you love about school... dont have in mind those things you hate. you may say you hate EVERYTHING about school but you dont. so dont think about the dislikes at all. only the likes and you will start liking school.

I know that at your age right now you are a little "selfish" and living in the "right now" rather than living for your future - don't take that as an insult - most people your age do that, and its completely normal. You seem to know enough that you do need to go all the way for your future though. You already know what you should do. You definitely need to finish up your last two years so you can get a better education, better career, and overall have a better chance of being financially stable throughout your life. Just you knowing that it will help you tells me you are an intelligent person - don't waste that!! It will be tough at first, but you will be proud of yourself when you are done. Are there any clubs or sports at your school you could join to make your time there more enjoyable? Maybe take some classes you normally wouldn't? There will ALWAYS be things that you don't want to do, but sometimes you need to do them to be better off in the long run. Don't sell yourself short!! Good luck!

Oh goodness...please stay in school. I dropped out because i was pregnant and had to, to support my son and our family. I wished that i could of found a way to stay..i look at my job and think wow..i could be doing so much better if i had stayed. Some people have things that might keep them from staying in school and others just choose to give up...dont do that.

stay in school because once you reach a certain age your parent arent going to want to take care of you because your grou are out of school wn up and they are old and plus with a good education you can be what ever you want to be in life not a poor person who cant get a job because she dropped out and now you cant even work at mcdonlad without a highschool diploma and what are you gonna do when you are out of school early sit home and watch tv come on dont throw your life away just because you have the chance to quit school im sorry but act smart dont be stupid ans stabburn and ask stupid question like that

honestly i would feel like quitting too. but if you think about it, if you get done in your 12th year, you will feel so much better that you actually did it. you would probably get much more career options than if you just stopped this year. if you don't finish. you may regret that you never actually finished. it will help a lot in the long run. stay in school.

I highly Recomend that you study as much as you can whilst you get your education and everything free at the moment.

i have also had this problem and i have spoken to other people that left school early because they coud'nt be bothered with it but after its a big regret to them.

If you want a gr8 future and if ur going to have kids someday u want them to look up 2 u and be proud of u!u already survived 10 years Finish Up ur whole school year life..try to enjoy it...More eduction>much better jobs>more money>awesome future! Well I'm not sure about the differences between the U.S. and Australia (I'm in U.S.).  But I do think you should stick with it. I had so many friends drop out of school right before they graduated and they've regretted it ever since.  

It's only TWO more years.  I understand school can be a living h**l, it was for me.  No matter how much the people their treat you like c**p, no matter whats going on at home, no matter how much the teachers dislike you and give you c**p, in the end you'll be so happy with yourself if you just stick with it for just a couple more years.

But hey, your happiness is all that matters.  Just smile, be happy for no reason, and enjoy life! :)

ok every 1 hates school its human nature n id be pretty worried about u if u DID like school try doing some fun stuff! extra whatever activities!  stick with it trust me! U WILL REGRET DROPPING OUT OF SCHOOL!!!! just ignore the people who laph cuz if thay drop out there giving up losers n there weak! ur better than that! if u stik with it ur guna be filthy stinken rich n u can be lazy 4 the rest of ur life after word n they get 2 live in boxes im actualy glad i dont hav a chose like that im going 2 college in 4 years whether i like it or not n im fine with that n ya no some schools might not allow it but i sometimes just doodle or read in a class n record it! the class goes by faster and then when i get home n theres no rush i can take notes at my own pace n its like a cheat sheet 4 that nights homework 2! n u can hav study nights with ur friends b4 tests that way ur grads r better n u dont need 2 work as hard later! YAAY BEING LAZY! but i hav ADHD so schools harder 4 me n iv come up with a few things 2 get me through it dont u hav any carrier ideas? i wana b a doctor! it realy helps when u hav something 2 look foreword 2! something 2 reach 4 like ur friend! n dont think 2 ur self "i dont hav2 do this i can stop" cuz if u tell ur self that it just seem like an unnecessary drag! GET UR EDJAMICATION! Stay in school. I know many people who dropped out and were lucky to make it (50K+ income) but those are the lucky few.
