I need help with guitar lessons?

i really want to learn how to play the guitar and none of my friends will help me so anyone that can help.

What is the best like teach yourself how to play dvds?

truefire.com has many DVD/CD-ROMS.  I have the "CAGED Cracked" one and it's awesome. Explains things very well.  

But I'd definately recommend getting a teacher. They can point out bad habits before it's too late.

Well you can probably get a teacher at a local guitar shop probably but if you can't go to a music or guitar store and ask the person at the counter for a beginner book that has the basic strings and stuff on guitars and a few easy chords to start you off with.

Dvds help too if you can find any good ones. Books usually come with a cd or dvd that helps you a lot.
