I need help with guppy fry!?

How can you tell if guppy fry are male or female. I want to seperate them before the males develope their gonopodium.

At  about 2-3 weeks the males begin development of the gonopodium.  It will be quite obvious, and they should be separated then to avoid mating.

You can't.  They all look like females until the mature.

I have had several guppies give birth and the best way I have figured out is to keep a close eye on the tail.   If there is any color in the tail I have found that that is a male.   The color in males showes up much erlier.

The females keep a much more transparent look to them.
