Ok, so I used to have long, straight hair. NOW, I have the top part of my hair, curly, and the bottom of my hair straight.

I have sidebands, but they look horrible now, since they're curly, and whenever I straighten them, they ALWAYS curl back up. Yes, I put in hairspray, and it doesn't help.

So, what I want to know is what I could do with my hair to make it look good, and times running out because school's starting soon. D:

My sister said that I should make some bangs like this:

So, bangs all the way down, and layers on the side to my regular hair.

But they would still curl...

Help please?

  1. your bangs are probably damaged from all that straightening. the same thing happened to me when my hair was damaged.

what i do is deep condition my hair 1-2 times a week to keep it healthy. i use garnier deep conditioner.

try not to wash your hair every day. only every 2-3 days. washing your hair every day is not healthy for it. also, it will make it so you don't need to straighten your hair every day and you will be damaging it less.

i use nexxus heat protexx. normally i put it on my hair right after i wash my hair AND right before i straighten my hair. make sure to spray it all over your hair. it will prevent your hair from getting damaged when you straighten it.

then use a straightening serum after you wash your hair. this wont make it completely straight, but it should keep it from curling up after you straighten it. i use bed head ego boost. i bought it at my hair salon.

what about the hair spray you're using? is it good quality? the one that works for me is suave extreme hold. i normally spray the piece of hair right before i straighten it, straighten it, then spray it again to keep it in place.

and it can also depend on the straightener you're using. conair straighteners are horrible. i use chi. its expensive but it works. save up money for a better one. remington straighteners are good too, and they're less money.
