  1. This sound great. Nothing wrong with helping. If God has put this on your heart then go for it. I would like to help you. Maybe put up your website or something.

  2. Great Idea! I would start in your own area. Contact the local churches or Boy Scout troops to help. If you put together a nice flier and pass it out to everyone, post it in the community centers, libraries, grocery stores, door to door, Realtor newsletters, newspapers etc. You can do this ongoing but I would start with a goal of number of shirts and a date you want to get them by this will motivate you and the others that will join in to help you. Pick something catchy like Thanksgiving Day or Valentines and a pitch name like "T-shirts for Love". Good Luck

  3. No that does not sound crazy.  Another good idea is to collect used suitcases for foster children.  A lot of times foster children go from placement to placement with their items in a trash bag or plastic bag.

  4. I would contact your local United Way agency and see if they can point you to a specific organization to bring your donations to.  People are more likely to respond to you if you tie an organizations name to it.  Don't forget to contact that organization; they could possibly already have an event or clothing drive similar to this that you could drum up publicity for.

Collaborate over creating something entirely new.  There's no need to re-invent the wheel when there are already 10 rolling around out there.  However, you are the kind of fresh energy that nonprofits crave and there's not a single one that wouldn't give you some of their promotional materials to help you network and get the word out!

  5. Sounds good to me.  Go for it!
