We have no money. I am making my own wedding cake. I am going to serve barbecued chicken. Any other ideas? My sister gave me a dress to wear and I am borrowing a veil. Any other ideas?

  1. Flowers~ Either by a bouquet or pick some from the garden and tie some clingfilm round them and then put ribbon on them.

You can buy tiaras etc for a few pound from claires.

It seems like you have thought of the majority though hun.

  2. where will the wedding/reception be? know anyone with a nice yard that you can have the party at? otherwise get a park area rented and have it there. borrow people canopy tents to set up for some shaded areas or set up tables under some trees. if having the ceremony there also borrow everyone you know's folding chairs to set up for people to sit during the ceremony. pick up a roll of plastic table covering from a party store and some thumbtacks and secure a table cloth onto each picnic table for a more classy look. get some balloon arrangements made at the party store or pick a bunch up from the dollar store and make a few arrangements on your own and have them in each corner of your party area. ask family memebers to help out wiht some food dishes to accomadate everyone attending- like pasta salad, potato salad, pickles, rolls and butter, big bowl of salad and dressing, etc. make a large batch of punch instead of getting a bunch of soda, get bottled water from Sams Club. get all your utensils, cups, decorations, and anything else you think of from the dollar store- but splurge on some good plates for the BBQ chicken (you don't want that dropping in someones lap at your wedding!) burn some CDs or ipod all your favorite songs to play on a boom box for music during the whole thing- have ceremony music ready also and put someone in charge to start/stop the song when walking up and down the isle. have someone in charge of being you photographer with a digital camera- tell the to take TONS of pictures so you'll be guaranteed to have a few good ones- make sure they zoom in on you two during the ceremony and stuff. make sure to get some posed pictures in an ara with a nice background- it's a good time also to get some family shots of everyone together. have someone videotape if you know someone with a video camera. get a mixed bouquet of flowers from the grocery store and trim off the bottoms and wrap with a pretty ribbon for a nice bouquet- save one flower and some greenery or babies breath for your hubbies boutiner- wrap it with flower tape and just secure with a pin. (nice bouqet of flowers is like $10 at the grocey stores) heres a link to pretty inexpensive stuff for weddings http://www.orientaltrading.com/applicati...

    hope it all goes well!!!

  3. Flowers. Lots of them. Find a floral warehouse or distributor. Tell them your situation, they might be able to help you buy large amounts of flowers at distributor prices.

Candles. Cheap ones. Plain white. If you're having a sit down dinner, you can get sand and rocks from the beach or a decoration supply store. (wash them in tap water if brought from the beach) You can either get a couple of nice cheap plastic dishes at the decorative supply store, or you can put them directly in the middle of the table. use lots of rocks to anchor your candles or buy cheap fake candle holders. If you do that, add flowers at the bottom and put flowers up against the base of the candleholder. Add rocks scattered around. You can buy a metallic paint pen from the store and put your wedding date, your names, hearts, and bells depending on the size of your rocks. Have a steady hand or find someone with one because the paint comes out very heavily at first.

Buy white paper bags. Fill with sand (This can be bought at the local hardware store too), cut paper hearts one the bags with an exacto or blade of some type. Add sand, place the candle in the bag slightly centered in the sand, and use these for your pathway.

Ask a friend or family member to take the pictures. Pick someone who doesn't drink alcohol so that you don't have to process sideways/off center pictures.

Ask 5-10 of your good friends if they'd be willing to buy a six pack or two of beer. (Good friends normally know how broke you are.) They can bring it to the party before hand and can help decorate.

If you can't afford any of this, just remember, you're getting married for love. Your husband to be should want to marry you whether you're barefoot and wearing a burlap sack or you have the most exquisite dress on. You can also have a dinner in a couple months instead when you've saved some money, or you can re-new your vows in five to ten years when things are a little easier for you both and have the wedding you want. Good luck and congratulations!

  4. ask a friend with good sense in photography to take photos, use a digicam so that you can even edit it before developing the shots

  5. Yeah what the guy under me said! What about the dj? ummmm. Im right here! but it said like your on a real tight budget so, bring a boom box

  6. Get your friends and family to help out.

Someone who's good a photography. Is there anyone you know who's in a band or DJ. How about hairdressers.

Buy some cheap flowers from the supermarket the night before.

  7. Reserve a pavilion at a park and make your reception casual.  Everybody will be relaxed and can bring their kids, too.  It will make it memorable for everybody and you can relax, too!  You'll probably get friends to come that couldn't because of babysitters, etc.

Most importantly, relax and have fun with your guests!!!  Congratulations!!!!
