Okay, i really need some advice on make up.

i have a few products that my friends have given me over time, and i don't know what to do with them.

i have:

1. Cover Girl liquid foundation (https://www.wegmans.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=10052&productId=353786&catalogId=10002&krypto=QJrbAudPd0vzXUGByeatog%3D%3D&ddkey=http:ProductDisplay)

2. Covergirl Pressed Powder (http://www.shopwiki.com/detail/d=Cover_Girl_Clean_Fragrance_Free_Pressed_Powder,_Classic_Beige_%23230_-_0.39_Oz_%2F_Pack,_2_Each/jumpToFirst=t/)

3. Covergirl Trublend Mineral makeup (http://www.covergirl.ca/en_ca/prodimages/trublend_loose_powder_1.jpg)

4. Maybelline Dream matte mousse (http://www.maybelline.com/Product/Face/Foundation/dream-matte-mousse-makeup.htm)

Now, i really don't know what to do with all of this.

I've tried putting on the liquid foundation with a makeup sponge but it looks like i've just caked on the makeup, and it's embarassing to go out like that. How do i put this on so that it doesn't look like im wearing makeup when people look at my face. it seems like the makeup sticks to the little hairs on my face and makes it really noticeable.

Hellllllp me please :) !

  1. the first 2 i think r cover up. ur next 2 links dont wirk on my comp

  2. The problem with using facial products that your friends have given you is that they probably will not match your skin tone. When you put on foundation, it should just about exactly match the color of your face, so it won't be noticeable. If it looks obvious that you are wearing makeup, then you are not wearing the right color.

  3. I would suggest don't use liquid foundation because it does get cakey. use your covergirl pressed powder and take the brush and dab it on the foundation palette. then depending on how heavy you want your makeup to be spread an even layer on your face. if you think that you look blotchy, take a dry sponge and rub around the foundation until you think you look even. if you really want to use liquid foundation then take your hand. put some liquid on your hand and use your finger to put dots of foundation on your face. then use your finger to spread around the foundation. I know it sounds silly but it works for me when I go for an original look. then slightly wet the end of a makeup sponge and squeeze out the water. Very gently starting at your cheek, with a vertical motion, start evening out the foundation. Voila! you dont have a blotchy face!

  4. it might be the wring color for your skin.

If its the right color though  try putting a tiny dot of liquid fondation on a sponge and spread it around really well in circlular motions. also pressed powder would probably work better get a sponge agin and rub on the pressed poder then put it on your skin  and then if that doesnt work try a makeup brush with either number 2 or 3 on your list

  5. I like the mineral powder. Its so much easier than all the others. Just get a powder brush, and while putting it on dip it in the powder and tap it on the side so you dont get to much and put it on going in circles so do you dont get blotches.

  6. First of all you shouldn't be using "used" make up!  It can cause infections and the likelyhood of the colors matching are minimal!  Go to the mall and check out some NEW make up or go to your local OSCO or Walgreens.  I like Benefits. ( At Macys).

  7. okay with the liquid foundation, I have two suggestions...

    1. Try using a powder brush (like the large blush brush) and pour some of the foundation in your had and just dip it in it and brush it onto your skin...

    2. Try using your fingers... one key to liquid foundation is you have to blend it in with your fingertips or else it will look fake...

what I do is I use a liquid foundation and then I put on loose powder, to get it to look smooth and blended and not sticky...

    hope I could help

  8. Anything you put on may look caked if you put on a heavy layer.  You may also want to consider the fact that the makeup might not even be the right color tone for you.

Now, since you stated that this is makeup that your friends have given to you "overtime" you may want to consider the possibility that it may be too old to use.  In my opinion if you have makeup for 6 months or longer that it loses its chemical integrity.  If you don't know when they bought it and if any of it seems to not work out for you, then just toss it in the trash and go out and buy yourself some new stuff.

  9. mix the foundation with either facial moisturizer or gentle lotion. you'll want equal portions of each. then use your fingers to blend it onto your skin. the lotion makes it thinner and lighter so it goes on smooth and doesnt look caked on. then use the pressed power on top of the foundation to smooth the makeup out even more and to dry up any of the oil the foundation adds to your face.

    :]

  10. Throw it all away. You should try MK Mineral powder or Liquid Makeup. It's the best!

  11. its probelly bad foundation or it dosent match your skin tone correctly, get one that matches your skin tone. also your skin might be too dry so mix some scentless lotion with it and then put it on a sponge and go from there it might help. best of luck

  12. go with out

  13. on my face the make-up sticks the same way, so I gave up on using any, except lipstick...

    hope this helps

  15. For a light coverage you could mix the liquid foundation with some moisturizer or sunscreen in your palm and than apply it to your face like you would apply moisturizer, but be careful around the eye are. And you can use the press powder throughout the day for touch ups. I don't know about the mineral and mousse make up since I've never used those types of cover up.

    Hope this helps

  16. You can do this by taking a darker shade [about 2 shades darker] of foundation and applying it in a line [you're going to blend it anyway] along your jaw line, and any other places you feel are more male than female [everyone is different, so use your judgement]. Blend this in until there are no lines of demarkation [this means until it's thoroughly blended]. Then, apply a normal foundation if you use it. Then, apply a white [yes, white] creme to highlight areas that you want pronounced, like your cheek bones. This is all about bringing out features you like, and hiding ones you don't.

To help you 'not look like a drag queen', you'll need to apply make up that is natural looking, and try not to overcompensate because you don't think you look girly enough. Try curling your eye lashes and adding length to them with mascara. To make your blue eys pop, try using a deep brown eye shadow just along your lash line, blending upwards. For a night time look, you'll want to do something a little more dramatic. Try using a shimmer [not glitter!] over your deep chocolate brown eye shadow or using a blue tinted mascara.

If you're going to go heavy on your eyes, avoid doing too much on your lips if at all. This will help to avoid you looking too overdone!

  17. i don't wear face make up, unless i'm breaking out.

in which case i use a q-tip to dab aquaphor for dry skin, kind of like neosporin, onto the area to help heal it. then cover it with cover up concealer. from there i use an eye make-up brush to brush neutrogena loose power over it and blend it into my skin. then i use the neutrogena loose powder all over my face to keep it from being shiny. and on my cheeks, forhead, and tip of the chin use the trublend, because it has glitter in it.

i love covergirl- for eye make up too, it's the best, but stick to neutrogena for face powder and and concealer, it has acne medication mixed right into the make up to keep your skin clear! and it comes in matte tones. always make sure the color you use is right for YOUR skin.

also stay away from pressed powder. i have found that it also sticks to the hair on my face, and always looks caked on.

  18. lmao...how old are you??

ok so anyway. with the liquid foundation..thats for ur face. you take a facial pancake use it for ur entire face. its so that your skin will look smooth ans pimple free. one catch you need to make sure that it matches your skin color:

    http://www.whiterabbitbeauty.com/media/f...

if you dont have the xact color like if its to lite or two dark use ALITTLE BIT . for ur entire face.

    kk next.

the pressed power is when you done with all you make up u just pat alittle al over your face so that it is all tied together. =]

    next..

the covergurl trublend minerial makeup is the same as foundation. i could see the pic. in the link but i saw another pic on google. if its in a spary bottle its the exact same thing as foundation. if its in like a litte case with a brush u use alittle after you use foundation for a hint more of color. but i recommend the say on foundation because it gives you the perfect about in one or two sprays.=]

    next...

the maybelline is good as well but i have to tell you agian that it does the same thing that foundation does. it juss covers up. but this one is easy to take with you and aply in like a puplic bathroom.but of all there foundations the trueblend is the best onlt because it gives you the perfect amount and because it blends with you skin the best.=]

hope that i helped. email me anytime for more tips

  19. When putting on liquid foundation, sometimes when you use a sponge it can look a little caked on. So instead of using that, wash your hands really good (because germs on your face can cause acne, etc...) and apply it gradually in small amounts all over your face. For the powder, I usually put that on over the other foundation to make sure that it's perfect. Make sure that the color is not too light for your skin tone because your look like a ghost, or too dark because it just looks fake. When I use the powder, I don't use that little powder thing that comes with it, I take my blush brush because I find that with the powder thing, it looks really caked on like you've just put flour all over your face. When you use the blush brush, make sure you only put a little and don't drown your face in make-up. Finally, make sure it's rubbed in because it will look like you've put make-up on and everyone will notice. Hope I've helped! :D

  20. about the liquid foundation don't use it but if u still do  if you cake it on just wash  it off but if you don't have time just keep rubbing it in. try mary kay. keep using cover girl pressed powder if you can't afford mary kay. No trublend. no maybelline.
