I need help with making a resume?

How do I make a resume? I have no acting experience, but i have written scripts for school and stuff and performed skits. What do I put in my resume? A sample of my work? i need help! and where can I find auditions?

Resume needs three main things

1) Introduction= About yourself to the interviewer or company

2) Information= About your academic information and what you will give to company

3) Intimation= You have to intimate them what you will do and what is you outcome to them.

Start with Name, Contact detail, Objective, summary, academic qualification, Training, Additional courses, Specialized skills, Some personal details and declaration(optional) and you signature

Last question first. No you don't need an agent. And agents shouldn't cost you any money. They take a commission (10-20% of your pay) for work that you get. There are alot of expenses for acting, but the majority of them are for your training- not in representation.

For a resume if you don't have any experience than don't lie. If you don't have anything to put into a category, than don't put it on your resume.

Put Your Name at the top in bold in the biggest letters, it needs to stand out. Then the basic information about you: hair color, height, weight, eye color (and if you want, your age range, and singing range). Next is the contact information phone number & email.

Since you don't have any experience put a heading for "Class Scenes", and list the Character Name & the Play name, as well as the Director and name of the School or Class, if there was one.

Put any "Training" you have next. Some thing that could go in that section are: Signing lessons, dance classes, acting lessons, summer drama camps, etc.

Next put "Selected Writings" and list some of the Titles of your scripts. Put if they won any awards, or were performed by what company (or group or school). You can put the aprox length, and cast size too.

Finally put down "Hobbies/Skills". This is really good place to put down things like any sports you play- gymnastics, soccer, etc; any musical instruments; juggling; cheerleading; horseback riding; driving. Anything that you can do really well put down, but don't fill up the entire resume with these secondary skills.

You can change up the order of the sections if you want.

It's okay to have a resume that is kinda empty. You can always get more experience. Keep auditioning for different roles- no part is too small, and soon you'll have to start deleting the old stuff on your resume to make room!

I don't know how to answer your question but...DON'T PAY AGENTS UP FRONT! It's a scam! Agents shoudl only take 10-20% of what you make out of a show! THERE SHOULD BE NO UPFRONT COST!

A great example of a resume is found out http://www.diyactingresume.com/image-res... The only thing I would add (and VERY important) is a Training Section  and a Skills Section under what is already there.

Type of role in Film and Television is not the name of the role but "Principal," "Supporting," "Co-Star," "Guest Star," etc. Do NOT put background or featured experience unless you are with SAG or AFTRA and have a featured experience. You may name your role and type under Theater, but in all it should not have more than 3 columns as is shown in the example I directed you to above.

If you only have Theater and Training experience, that is fine for now. But, be sure to have a good headshot that shows your personality, doesn't have a distracting background, and is about 70-80% your face/head.

What are you making a resume for? An acting resume i presume... if you don't have any credits to put on it then i would start off auditioning for things that say "no experience required". THEN when you get a few things under your belt, you can start putting the shows on your resume.

In terms of how to find auditions... i'd try looking in the newspaper or online for stuff going on in your city.
