  1. http://www.algebrahelp.com/calculators/

  2. b*c

    -8

    *3

    /a

    5*6 = 30

    -8 = 22

    *3 = 66

    /3 = 22

  3. 3(bc - 8) divided by a

note bc is the same as b x c

and 3 outside the parentheses is the same as 3 x (whatever is in the parentheses).  Sooooo ...

    3(bc - 8) divided by a        can be rewritten ...

    (3 x ((5 x 6) - 8)) / 3

Always calculate the inner-most parentheses first.

    (3 x (30 - 8)) / 3

    (3 x 22) / 3

    66 / 3 = 22

  4. = (3[bc - 8])/a

    = (3[{ 5 * 6} - 8])/3

    = (3[30 - 8])/3

    = (3[22])/3

    = 22

    Answer: 22
