I need help with my Garmin Nuvi 660?

I have a Garmin Nuvi 660 and I would to change it to aviation so i can use it for a cross-country in a cessna 172. If there is anyway to upload something to it please help me out I don't want to go spend $1,000 on something if I can do it cheaper or even free. Please help me out with this.

  2. I would ask support at Garmin's web site - they're pretty good.

You can load Custom POIs, road maps, and topo maps to the nuvi.  It's not designed for anything aviation-related.  You can take the nuvi up in your plane and the cursor will follow wherever you are, so you could still use the road maps loaded on the nuvi as a reference.  The cursor does not lock to the road on the nuvi.
