I need help with my Lexmark x2600 printer. 10 points for the first person who can help correctly!?

I am trying to install the software for the Lexmark x2600 ( I have already been to the website and called, no help at all) and I am getting a device installer error.. saying "windows could not install the installer for the printer." I am running windows xp professional.. any ideas of what I can do? I have the software.. getting mad now.. =( help me out please!! =D

install the printer from add printer wizard from control panel and printers folder most of the time it works .........

if not right click on computers and go to manage and click device manager ...the printer would be listed with yellow question mark on it right click and click on update driver and then check

try this ,step by step : go to start -printer and faxes -right click with your printer -uninstall . go out cable for your printer - restart to pc . go to http://downloads.lexmark.com/perl/downlo... , click download ,when finish click run . connect cable for your printer , now your pc recognize your printer and ready to use .ctrl+P -print test page . it's a only website (for your printer - United States ) . good luck !

even though its a given model there are often different drivers for certain series models of their printers

they will ask you the serial number and perhaps give you a different driver

also check other lexmark sites from other counties for different versions

of the install driver -if that is your problem

I think you will need to Scan the drive for errors and defrag the drive.

R click on the C: drive from My Computer then choose PROPERTIES.

Then install the software!

That'll fix ya right up.....
