I need help with my Nikon D40 settings ?

I just purchased a Nikon D40 and somehow I have accidentally changed the setting so that when I press the arrow button to view my pictures all of the information comes up such as the 35mm appature and the ISO setting over my picture and I am not able to view it very well can someone help me as to how I can change this setting back I have tried everything and cant figure it out

Press the review (arrow) button.  Next, locate the little directional pad and press up or down on that until the information disappears.

I use a Nikon D40x, so I know this very well.
