I need help with my PS3 and TV?

I I have a EDTV TV that supports component cables and right now I have my ps3 hooked to it with AV cables but I can hardly read any text from my ps3. If I buy component cables for my ps3 will that help make the text more readable or do I have to buy and HDTV?

Yes it does, i have an sd 27 inch tv and use s-cables and really makes a difference to the quality component cable are superior to s-cables so yes it gives it a clearer picture. So you dont need to buy an HDTV to make text more clear.
