I have a D class Titanium Power Amplifier ( 2400 watts )

And i have them connected to two 12" pioneer subs. My cables are all fine, i have a capaciter working good. The only thing thats wrong is the bass is way to low and i've already configured the amp to where it needs to be adjusted to but it still sounds like i have a 10 " sub barely pumping bass ...

What could it be ?

I was thinking its one of two things the bass control in the amp is messed up inside and thats why the volume wont go any higher or the output on the amp can also be messed up ... ??

Any advice on what it could be ... would be helpful.

thank u

  1. Without more details such as spec of your amp, spec of your subs, types of wiring, etc.  make it hard to determine what's wrong.

    You prolly wants to check the most obvious first;

    Is the HU set on low bass level?

    Did you connect your amp via rca from HU or rear speakers?

    Both of your subs are in some sort of enclosure?

    check gain lvl on the amp

    wiring between amp to sub (bridged, non-bridge, correct ohms wiring, etc.)

  2. To start with do you have a bass k**b?  If that is connected make sure it is turned up.  Next check all the settings on your head unit.  Bass/subs and check all your other settings.  Then go to the amp and mess with the k***s sometimes some turn 1-3 times around play with all that first although you probablly already have.  Also it could be you have your subs wired up to high like say 4-8 ohms... How did you wire them?

  3. it sounds like your ohm load is not matched between the amp and subs. if the subs are dvc there are several different ways to wire them to create different ohm loads to match your amp. if they are svc you can still wire them a couple different ways to create different ohm loads. you should check the amp to see where it is stable at. (2ohms, 4ohms) and go from there. dont wire the subs to create an ohm load lower than what the amp is stable at.
