I need help with my camera?? what to do??

i have a nikon coolpix and i downloaded the software that you download so you can upload pics and i downloaded the software onto my dell computer and i followed the instructions in the user manual but for some reason when i plug my camera into the computer nothing happens and when i pull up the window i try to press the start transfer button but nothing happens!! help?? ill award points!!

If it is a Dell laptop you will find a slot for SD memory card. You may insert your card and can view the pictures. This is easier one and everybody does this.

If you want to have it done via USB cable you would need the driver for that. In Windows XP all drivers come by default. If you are not using XP service pack2 you might want to download and install the driver in your computer.
