I need help with my car audio?

okay soo i bought this line out converter and hooked it up but when i turn my radio off my subs go nuts they sit there on a constant bass note to no music

and also on low volumes the subs scratch but they arent blown i know that im wondering if this this could be a speaker wire problem or rcas or remote please tell me what u know

i think the rca's are crossed,,,the remote wire is touching/connected to a power wire,,,maybe one of the rca heads is touching the body of the amp causing  the scratch/screech  sound ,,,,,dis-conn. the batt.and re-do it    and double check that converter and connection,,,
