  1. Welcome to Yahoo! Answers!

Before I answer your question, please allow me to rant :)

When asking a question, it helps everyone out when you ask your question appropriately. Actually, some people won't even look at your question when you don't word it right!

Try not to 'yell' or, use all CAPS in your question. Using all caps can be perceived as shouting.

Try to add as much detail as possible with your question. A better question would have been: Internet Explorer freezes?

Thanks for listening to my rant and please, enjoy Yahoo! Answers!

Now, for your question. It's hard for me to understand what you are asking. Do you want to know how to clean up your desktop and open IE (Internet Explorer)?

For the music files, just create a new folder called 'Music' and drag all of the files to it.

For IE freezing, just get Firefox! http://www.firefox.com. Firefox is easier, faster, shinier, and just plain cooler!

Good luck, and Welcome to Y!A! (again)

EDIT: Yeah, I don't think that it will do anything, but try it anyway. Go get yourself one of those anti-viruses.

  2. Use firefox instead of intrenet explorer. It is much better and more protected. To learn windows secrets and hacks visit go to my profile.

  3. hi run a spyware check, download spybot search and destroy it's free and then clean out your browser, temp files, cookies and history, and then if you need to run a repair over IE, more on cleaning up IE below

  4. You could put all those shortcuts in one file if you feel you need them. If the are stored somewhere else on your computer like My Music then you don't so you can delete them.

To do the above right click on your desktop, select new the folder. Name the folder what you like then press enter. Drag the shortcuts to that folder.

You mention an IE problem which indicates that your computer could be infected and need a good clean and as you don't mention what protection you have I'll list my recommendations here.

    Avast Home Edition http://avast.com [anti-virus]

Run a full scan once a month. I find this the best free anti-virus software

    SUPERantispyware http://superantispyware.com

Update and run a full scan once a week.

    Spybot Search and Destroy http://safer-networking.org

Update, Immunize and scan once a week.

    ccleaner http://ccleaner.com

Run the Cleaner scan and remove all it finds

Run the Registry scan and fix all issues but repeat this until nothing is detected.

    Run this daily.

    Comodo Firewall  http://www.personalfirewall.comodo.com/

Some people just prefer the Windows one but this is better.

Check that you don't need to defragment monthly and also run a Disk Cleanup monthly too.

I'd think about installing firefox and using it instead of IE as it's better, easier to use and safer.
