I need help with my dive!?

Ok well I start swimming on Sept 2..I am so excited!! I just have always lacked on my dives...I don't do a trackstart...I usually just go with the normal one.....im flexible enough I just always feel like im slow off the blocks.....my coach has been telling me that constantly after my race!!! please help me I need to work on my dive!!!

  1. in your pre dive warm ups do what is called ( squat trush) this is were you stand up lower yourself down to

    the floor push yourself up to a standing position in many reps  if you want you can hold onto a weight to increase lower strength legs  this would help you on speed dives


  2. Try and anticipate the gun by listening to the races before you. If you can hear a rhythm the starter does every time, you should know when the gun goes off (like some do 3 seconds after they say "take your marks")

    Also work on leg strengthening so you can throw your body forward.

    Track start may work better if youre just starting though
