OK... I have an 82 Honda Moped. The headlight and brake light were working fine, and the blinkers did not work at. I replaced all the bulbs and they still didnt work. I went under the seat and and changed the flasher....Heres the thing, after I changed the flasher with the new one... IT WORKED bothe left and right, front and back. Then all of a sudden, the headlight and tail light started flashing as well..... HERES where I am now....the new flasher installed, bulbs are good, the only fuse that I know of ( by the battery) is good too. HOW do I go about fixing this, I am gettting pretty frustrated, PLEASE HELP

  1. The signals work directly off of the battery's power.

If the battery is a tincy bit dis-charged (weak) the signals won't operate properly.

Those batteries don't last very long and are inexpensive.

First try to charge it, then change it if necessary.

The charging system directly powers the headlight.

The signals were sucking power from a weak battery.

The battery was sucking more power from the charging system.

The battery was robbing the headlight of power from the charging system, causing the headlight to dim and brighten as the signals flashed.

  2. its either a bad battery, as already stated, or a bad ground- a ground will find its way thru filaments. that is, the ground will find its way back thru the bulbs, as they are technically a dead short- the resistance creates light
