I need help with my internet!!!?

Question

i have a problem on my computer, every time i try to type an address in on the internet browser it says " the page cannot be displayed". I recently have been tying to get internet on my computer. Right now i have an enthernet cable hooked up in the back of my wireless router. My computer gets the connection but for some reason cannot connect to the internet. The other computer hooked up to the router works perfectly fine. I thought all i had to do to get internet was to plug the enthernet cord to the router, as simple as that. Is there something wrong with my computer? or do i need to work with the settings? PLEASE HELP ME!!!!

Maybe the drivers for your ethernet aren't installed or it could be turned off in the bios.Go to device manager and look to see if there are yellow ? beside network adapter.If there are,you need to install the  drivers.If there aren't, you need to go into the bios,go to integrated devices and turn it on there.

well i think YAHOO! was down for a while cause i thought my internet was down and i clicked on a different website up on the top and it was working

Do You have Zone Alarm?

If you do - Turn it off.

There is a conflict between ZA and the patches MS downloaded this week.
