I need help with my introduction paragraph for an essay?

Global warming is a hot topic that doesn't show signs of cooling down anytime soon. This serious problem requires scientific, & also political, attention.

thats what i have. its a 5 paragraph essay and i guess each paragraph only has to be 5 sentences so if you could help me out with 3 more sentences... it would be apreciated. and i guess 10 points to whoever gives the most info.

For the introduction use a fact,stat, or quote. Then give a a short background of the topic. After this write your thesis.

I'm not giving you your essay but I will however give you tips on what to include in your introduction. First of all, the first sentence should be a "attention-getter." Just something to lure the reader in and catch their eye. Then comes a brief summary of your topic. Followed by the thesis sentence. The introduction should be the easy part of the whole essay if you're already done with the 5 paragraphs, just summarize the whole topic, break your paragraphs down into a simple sentence or two for your thesis and your done.

If you haven't written the rest of your essay, you're fine. Stop fiddling with the introduction and write the rest of your essay. The thesis statement you have now is "Global warming requires scientific and political attention" so that's what you're trying to prove. If your essay gets away from you, you may end up having to change your thesis statement and your intro to match your essay.

Once you've written the essay, go back and tweak your intro. The other folks who answered have good advice in that regards.
