Let assume linear relation y=mx+c.

Can plot in a graph cheking  linear realationship.

For item cost x the cost with tax is y

Solving m and c from first 2 items cost

1.05=m+c

2.1=2m+c

---------------

(2.1 - 1.05) = m

or m = 1.05

or c = 0

So

y = 1.05x

Using this relation check for the other two items cost with tax

y =1.05*3 =3.15

y =1.05*4=4.20
