here are the questions:

1. The radius of a circle is pi cm. The base of the triangle is pi cm. The area of the circle equals the area of the triangle. What is the height of the triangle?

2. An equilateral triangle has an altitude of 2 square root of 3 in. and a perimeter of 12 in. What is the area of the triangle?

3. An equilateral triangle has an altitude of 3 square root of 6 cm. and an area of 18 square root of 3 cm^2. What is the perimeter of the triangle?

thanks to anyone who helps and plz explain how u got the answer.

  1. 1.

    Area of circle: A=pi(r^2)

    Area of triangle: A= (1/2)(base)(height)

Set them equal to each other because the areas are the same.

put in pi for the radius and the base because it's a given.

Solve it for the height... get rid of the 1/2 by multiplying by 2 then divide pi on both sides.

    You should get  2(pi^2)

    2.

By "2 square root of 3 in" I'm taking that you mean (2)(square root 3).

To find the area you need height and base.

Height is given, and you need to find base.

Perimeter is 12, and so the base is??.... (please say 4)

Solve it... multiply all the numbers outside of the square root together and you should get 4.

Then the answers will just be (4)(square root of 3) cm^2

    3.

I'm not sure my answer for 3 so I'm not going to post it in case I'm wrong.
