I need help with my math skills?

We had to do a book over the summer, but I looked in the back because I didn't understand it. Now what? I need a good learning technique.

Start at the beginning, and keep at the first section until you understand it.  Only look in the back to verify your answers.

If you need more, you'll need to find a person locally (a teacher or parent is best) to help with specific examples.

Math is like a brain sport.   Some people can look at it once and do really well, but most people have to study it and practice.  The best way to learn from a book is to study the examples, try those examples on your own to make sure you can do those, then try the exercises.
