  1. Oh my gosh, this might sound crazy. Some of the girls at work told me to literally turn him upside down, and flip him over. They told me it would alter his internal clock. THAT EXACT NIGHT he fell asleep for 6 hours. I was so happy! And then he was more awake with me through out the day. Try it--it works!!

  2. Sleep when the baby sleeps. This should start to improve around 6 weeks most likely, but it is slow going.

  3. NEW MOM HUH THATS COOL I HAVE TWINS GIRLS THAT ARE

15 MO NOW YOU CAN,T CHANGE THE BABY SLEEPING HABBIT RIGHT NOW BECAUSE THE BABY DONT NO NIGHTS FROM DAYS

THE BEST THING TO DO IS IF YOU CAN SLEEP IN THE THE DAY WHILE THE BABY SLEEP THAT WILL HELP YOU BE MORE ALERT AT NIGHT BUT THE DR SAY DONT GIVE BABY CEREAL UNTIL 6 MO OLD BUT MY TWIN WOULD NOT SLEEP SO WE GAVE THEM BABY RICE CEREAL AT A MONTH OLD JUST ADD A PINCH AT NIGHT ONLY AND THAT WILL HOLD ON BABY STOMACH AND YOU WILL BE ABLE TO SLEEP A LITTLE DURING THE NIGHT BUT RIGHT NOW JUST RELAX I KNOW IT HARD AT FIRST IF YOU CAN GET MOM TO HELP YOU THAT WILL BE WONDERFUL IF NOT KEEP PRAYING AND REMBER THE BABY CANT HELP IT .HOPE THIS HELP YOU

  4. Enjoy your baby!

  5. yep get used to it. i bet in the womb he was a wild child at night? mine was. it took a month or so to get him sleeping more at night. he still needed to wake up to eat a lot but thats natural. after about 3 months both of my kids slept through the night and have so far. ( 8 mo. and 4 yr olds.) just try to nap when he does for now. take special notice of his paterns and try to manipulate them little by little till you get him where you want him. good luck

  6. There is no real sleeping schedule for babies.  No real reason to even try to find one for him right now, he is so young.  At five days old he is still getting used to being out of the womb.  The only thing that you can do is sleep when he sleeps.

A few pointers: give him a bath in the evenings, turn on the music during the day...well lit room, etc.  other than this, just wait it out.   I promise, in about 3-4 months things get easier. 2 months might seem like everything but time flies and all of the sudden you have a curious little guy making messes everywhere he goes.  enjoy this time, sleep when he sleeps.  kiss and love while awake, no matter the hour.  time is a moment.

  7. Okay:

This will naturally change over time, when your baby realizes how much more fun you are in the day... Don't worry too much now, and try to sleep as much as you can with her during hte day.

If this mix up continues, start a slightly different routine:  The Baby Whisperer calls it "EASY"  First, the baby eats.  Then, you play with the baby:  Turn up the lights, turn on some music; engage!  Then, you put the baby to bed...  After that, it's you time:

    Eat

    Activity

    Sleep

    YOU time!

Also, if the baby continues with this mixed up schedule, when your baby wakes up at night, don't turn on the lights.  Don't engage.   Be zombie parent (this should be easy :-)).  Your baby will get the message that night is sleepy time and day is play time.

This newborn time feels super difficult, but it flies by, so last of all, ENJOY YOUR BABY!  You are so blessed to have a new, healthy baby.  Love and cuddle all the time, take lots of pictures, and don't bre a slacker:  Fill out that baby book!

  8. get used to it..

  9. suck it up and rest during the day while he is sleeping.

  10. Ok Feed the baby every three hour all day at night wash baby down with wash cloth so now baby feels clean feed baby befor you go to sleep and baby should sleep for 6 hours at night.Baby is to small to get bath in tub yet.

  11. start taking naps when he's napping, be in the same room as him because you can't change his sleeping habits right now, it's not going to do much but cause more problems.

  12. most all babies are like that.

they will sleep in the day and not at the night.

but the only thing you can do is sleep when he's sleeping and at nite be awake with him well only when he cries.

right now you can't change his sleeping habit or anything.

it'll prob take couple of weeks for him to adjust and sleep at nite

  13. Ok first im going to say DO NOT turn your baby upside down I dont know why someone would say that. sounds like he just has his days and nights confused. Try to engage him more during the day until he absolutly can not stay awake, if trying to play doesnt work and making him realize the sun is out doesnt bother him then sleep with him, and just realize that thats your boy and thats what he's going to do. Things will straighten out soon enough. just have patience and work with him. Good Luck

  14. try keeping him up more during the day... he just has his days and night confused

  15. Try to make it as bright as possible during the day.. open the shades turn up the t.v and then try and do rhe opposite at night.  But.. my boys are 4 wks ad still get therir schedules all mixed up!  Try not to stress butr I know how you feel!  Good luck :)
